The Paramount Group provides independent financial advice to both individual and corporate clients. We work closely with fellow professionals such as accountants and solicitors to help our clients achieve their financial objectives.
It is essential to our growth that we not only build new relationships with these fellow professionals, but also that we maintain the existing ones. To this extent we host events to thank our connections for their continued support. One of the regular events we run is our Golf Open Day which has become a firm favorite.
The responsibility for organising this event falls to me and each year I try and improve our guest’s experience. This year I took the opportunity of benefiting from the technical expertise of Mr Sean Blessitt from Astradyne Limited for the bespoke design and production of a scoring system to help track the players scores and rank the players and teams for easy identification of the winners at the end of the day.
Sean was able to take our brief and quickly produced a very professionally looking spreadsheet that far exceeded our expectations. This was no ordinary excel black and white grid, it looked like the graphics you would expect to see on a TV coverage of a golf tournament. He had automated all the calculation tasks and added additional features, which meant a job that in previous years had taken two people over an hour to do was now completed by one person within minutes.
We have the additional benefit of showing all of the competitor’s scores on our website and we are able to use the spreadsheet for future years making this investment in technology fantastic value for money.
The event was a resounding success and a very large part of that was down to the professional representation of the results. I would therefore have no hesitation in using Seans’ services again in the future or recommending him onto our clients and business contacts.
